Win a Piece of the Wild West!
Texas photographer Jeremy Enlow’s award-winning inaugural book Cowboys of the Waggoner Ranch has sold copies in 48 out of 50 states. Help him cross the last two states off his map, and you could have the Wild West shipped right to your front door! The first person to order a copy of the book in Rhode Island and Delaware will win a genuine West Texas tumbleweed. That’s right, y’all, a real Texas tumbleweed, just like you’ve seen in all of your favorite John Wayne movies. A West Texas woman collects the Western icons as they roll by, shipping them across the country. Now you can read the story of the Waggoner cowboys while a tumbleweed rolls across your living room.
All you have to do is order the book using your Rhode Island or Delaware shipping address. The lucky winners will be notified via email within 24 hours. Not in Rhode Island or Delaware? No problem! Share this post with your friends, and if they win we’ll ship a tumbleweed to you, too.*
ABOUT THE BOOK
In 2015, Texas photographer Jeremy Enlow went to the Waggoner Ranch to document 26 cowboys who live and work in the same way they have for generations. The result is the 140-page hardbound Cowboys of the Waggoner Ranch, made right here in Texas. Against the odds for a new self-published author, the first run sold out in just 10 days. Now in it’s third printing, Cowboys of the Waggoner Ranch has been featured in Western Horseman and is the 2016 Southwest Book Festival Grand Prize Winner.
The book features portraits of the cowboys, as well as up-close shots of their daily work.
“Most everyone I know with a ‘real’ job couldn’t last five minutes cowboying on the Waggoner. They physically abuse their bodies with a finesse that’s mastered with years of experience. There is no break until the job is done. Whether it rains, sleets or snows, the cowboys are always working.” – Jeremy Enlow
Committed to maximum quality and supporting local business, Enlow employed native Texan Jan Batts to write the text of the book and produced it in Fort Worth. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book benefits The Waggoner Ranch Cowboys Fund. Support American art, cowboys, and get your own tumbleweed? Come on, you know you want to!
*4 prizes are available, 1 for a resident of Rhode Island, 1 for a resident of Delaware, and 2 for the individuals who refer them.
